Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have announced the 2019-20 Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition shortly ahead of the game’s April 23 launch.

The two companies are working with Intersport on this nine tournament, global competition that hosts a prize pool of more than $255,000.

The Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition will host its nine events across North America, Latin America, Europe, and their online servers. Top players from around the world can enter these events for a shot at a portion of the $155,000 prize pool available across the nine premier events.

Each of the tournaments will also work as qualifiers for Final Kombat, the championship finale that will be held in early 2020. A total of 16 spots are open for the finale, 12 of which will be from the Pro Kompetition events.

The remaining four slots will be filled by the winners of Canada’s Northern Arena, Latin America’s Liga Latina, the Interkontinental Kombat, and a last-chance qualifier that will be held just days before Final Kombat begins.

Combo Breaker 2019 will host the inaugural Pro Kompetition event from May 24 to 26 in Chicago. Along with Combo Breaker, CEO, Evo, and Dreamhack Montreal are also locked in as Pro Kompetition events – making it four super events.

Once the top 16 players have qualified for Final Kombat, they will travel to Chicago to battle it out for the $100,000 prize pool. The event will be live-streamed on NeatherRealm’s Twitch channel and more information on all of the events can be found on the Mortal Kombat website.
