Stay Frosty god rolls and how to get them in Destiny 2

A Lightweight Frame with great perks. It's a Christmas miracle.

The holidays are right around the corner, and Destiny 2 has a ton of loot to chase in celebration of the season via its annual Dawning event. Stay Frosty is the event pulse rifle, and its 2024 iteration comes with a few new perks.

Stay Frosty is a Stasis Lightweight Frame pulse rifle, and it can be hard for such an archetype to stand out among plenty of other pulse rifles in Destiny 2. However, the 2024 version received new perks, like Rimestealer and Lone Wolf, that can make it more competitive in both PvE and PvP.

The 2024 version of the weapon is also enhanceable, so here are the Stay Frosty god rolls for PvE and PvP, as well as how to get them.

What is the Stay Frosty god roll in Destiny 2?

Stay Frosty PvE god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Tactical Mag
  • Perk one: Rimestealer
  • Perk two: Headstone
  • Masterwork: Range
  • Weapon Mod: Synergy

Stay Frosty PvP god roll

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Perk one: Lone Wolf
  • Perk two: Headseeker
  • Masterwork: Range
  • Weapon Mod: Ballistics

Stay Frosty is the best Stasis pulse rifle for PvE with the go-to perk combination of Rimestealer and Headstone. Headstone is a classic perk that creates Stasis crystals on precision kills, and Rimestealer grants a stack (or two stacks with the enhanced perk) of Frost Armor when you destroy a Stasis crystal or defeat a frozen target.

On top of that, you can also add Synergy in the Mod slot to create Stasis shards that grant Frost Armor if you’re running a Stasis subclass with a Harvest Aspect. If you don’t need it, there’s always Backup Mag or even Special/Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancements.

In PvP, Stay Frosty is an interesting choice, as the Crucible is filled with High-Impact pulse rifles like Elsie’s Rifle and Graviton Lances. However, both High-Impact pulse rifles and Graviton Lance are getting a nerf, while Lightweight pulse rifles are getting a buff in January 2025. Stay Frosty is already a comfortable pulse rifle to use inside of PvP despite not having the best time-to-kill, and with the upcoming buffs, it might be a good time to use it.

Lone Wolf is the new perk in the third column that increases aim assist, ADS speed, and airborne effectiveness. Those effects increase when there are no allies nearby, allowing you to get a maximum of 20 aim assist. You can pair this perk with Headseeker to make your shots more forgiving.

Other PvP perks you can get on Stay Frosty include Moving Target in the third column, which grants 10 aim assist (the same as base Lone Wolf). In the fourth column, there are perks like Desperado and Kill Clip that can work, too.

How to get Stay Frosty in Destiny 2

Stay Frosty is only available from the Dawning event in Destiny 2. During the event, bake treats and deliver them to vendors for a chance to get A Gift In Return. You can then focus gifts for specific weapons, including the new linear fusion rifle Mistral Lift, at Eva Levante in the Tower.

I highly recommend you get the Perky Presents and Perkier Presents upgrades for 35 Dawning Spirit each at Eva, as they allow your weapons to have double perks in each column, making it easier to chase that coveted god roll.
