Scam phone calls have followed Kitboga into GTA V roleplay

Apparently Edna has another virus...

Many may recognize “Kitboga” for his elaborate scam baits on Twitch. While he keeps most of his private information off the stream—including his real name—he’s widely known for his creative use of voice changers and personas, which lure scam baiters. Recently, Kitboga has joined the crowd of streamers who have begun playing on Grand Theft Auto V roleplaying servers.

Kitboga has brought one of his most popular scam bait characters into the server. With the help of a voice changer, Kitboga plays as Edna, a technologically-challenged grandmother. Typically, Kitboga uses Edna to frustrate scam baiters and lead them on lengthy phone calls that usually end with Kitboga revealing his true self. In GTA V, Edna is more concerned with finding her cat and not so much tormenting scam baiters.

In a recent stream, it seems even the scam baiters have followed Edna into GTA V. A group comprised of elderly characters on the roleplaying server who operate under Prune Gang have partially kidnapped Edna. By pretending to help Edna look for her cat, the Prune Gang has managed to string Kitboga’s character along on a series of events.

At one part during Prune Gang’s seizure of Edna, she begins to wander away from the group to continue looking for her cat. In attempts of keeping her near the gang, streamer “Spaceboy” calls Edna and pretends he’s a scammer posing as a Microsoft employee. It seems like Kitboga will never truly escape the scam baiters, even when he’s in a virtual world.
