Jacob “Pimp” Winneche, a veteran Counter-Strike analyst and former professional player, has lashed out at FaZe Clan’s in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen for his unsatisfactory performance over a long period of time, claiming him to be more of a “liability” for the squad.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Pimp said: “I admire Karrigan an awful lot. His longevity, the ability to remain on the top in 3 different versions of Counter Strike is truly unique. With that said, that does not mean he stays immune to criticism, and I think it’s appropriate to point out his individual struggles.”
Being the IGL of a top-tier team like FaZe is no simple task. From developing strats to ensuring coordination within the team, the tasks they have to perform are huge in themselves, thus their stats are expected to drop. However, the veteran CS2 analyst believes “there’s a limit to how much you can allow yourself to drop off before you become a liability.”
In the last 10 events FaZe attended, karrigan was able to tally a rating of more than 1.0 in only a single instance—during IEM Dallas 2025, where he secured a 1.10 rating over seven maps. FaZe finished 11th in that tournament. His ratings in the other nine events were below 1.0.

Pimp further pointed out, “In 4 out of the last 5 events, he’s posted a rating below 0.80, which to me is where the limit is at.”
The analyst even went on to touch on the critics’ view that karrigan is the reason why FaZe has not won a title for over a year now. FaZe’s last S-tier tournament victory was in IEM Chengdu 2024.
“Is he at fault for FaZe not winning more atm? Not necessarily, no, but is he as big a part of it as the likes of Rain, broky, etc? Absolutely,” Pimp said. “Touchy subject, but I think he is becoming more and more of a liability, and that needs to change as soon as possible,” he added.
At the time of writing, karrigan is 35 years old and has played three versions of Counter-Strike professionally at the highest level since the 2000s. The question now is how much longer the veteran intends to keep going.
