While the eyes of Call of Duty players will be on livestreams of CoD Next today, there’s also a new update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone to download.
It’s a large-size CoD update, but it’s deceptive because there isn’t much new content to be found. The update is instead full of bug fixes and some notable equipment that can no longer be used, but it’s for the best.
Here are all of the details on the celebratory update in MW3 and Warzone as part of CoD Next day on Aug. 28.
MW3 and Warzone update today
The main thing to note in the Aug. 28 update is that the new Aftermarket Part, the JAK Deathmarch for the BAL-27, has already been disabled “due to an issue.” It can be unlocked as part of the new challenges today but is not able to be used in Warzone on day one.
Another disabled part of the game is the C4, which is now disabled in Ranked Play for Warzone’s Ranked Resurgence playlist. So make sure to change your loadouts accordingly the next time you drop into Rebirth Island, or else you could be without a lethal.
Sledgehammer also said it “fixed an issue causing loss of firing ability after canceling the reload animation” of the JAK Gunslinger Aftermarket Part for the Basilisk hand cannon.
The other notes are full of minor bug fixes for MW3 and Warzone, so make sure to download the patch (34.55 GB on PS5) before tuning in to Call of Duty Next.
