Since winning the CWL Fort Worth event in March, Luminosity has struggled greatly to find any consistency—and the team’s issues have become more apparent than ever in the CWL Pro League.
LG came into their match today against Team Reciprocity with a four-match losing streak. Reciprocity was using Denholm “Denz” Taylor as a fill-in, however, giving LG improved chances at securing their sixth win of the season.
It became clear early in the match, though, that LG simply wasn’t able to work together effectively. Luminosity lost the first game, Arsenal Hardpoint, by nearly 120 points. Several of the players seemed visibly annoyed at the game one loss and likely played into their loss Gridlock Search and Destroy in the second game.
On Frequency Control, Luminosity gave a glimpse into how good the team could be. Winning the game in four rounds, it appeared LG could make a comeback in the series.
But Luminosity looked even worse than the first Hardpoint on Frequency, losing the game by 125 points for the series defeat. The loss is the team’s 10th of the season, and drops them into seventh place in Division A.
