Pro Apex Legends player Dizzy reveals his face on stream

Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has blown up in its short one-month life span. The free-to-play battle royale shooter has surpassed 50 million downloads, held multiple tournaments, and beat Twitch records while doing it.

One of the names that’s stood out since the game’s release is Cody “dizzy” Meadows. The relatively-unknown Counter-Strike professional player quickly came into the spotlight with his godlike plays and dominance in the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge.

Dizzy, who’s now completely given up his career in Counter-Strike, has instead chosen to pursue Apex full time. Dizzy represents NRG Esports and with his newfound skill, he won multiple back-to-back tournaments in the space of a month, alongside partners like Richard “KingRichard” Nelson and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

As well as proving himself as one of the best competitive Apex players, he also set the record for most solo kills. He’s since been dethroned as the record holder, but dizzy continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the competitive scene.  

With his fame and success, dizzy has brute forced his way into the limelight and has become a popular streaming personality. He boasts over 520,000 followers on Twitch but has remained much of a mystery within the community. Despite his high level and his prowess in Apex, he’s been an inconspicuous player and has hid his face on stream.

The faceless player has now revealed all, however. After hiding his appearance for so long, dizzy reluctantly showed his face to his stream. He first showed himself wearing a Miles Morales Spider-Man mask and joked “you got jebaited.” But to his viewers’ delight, he eventually took it off and revealed his true identity. Dizzy seemed faintly embarrassed at first, blushing to the camera, but soon changed his tune and embraced the attention.

Even though dizzy is a fast-growing streamer on Twitch, and he sits comfortably at the top of the Apex category just behind the likes of Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, he remains faithless to the competition. He insists that he has chosen to focus on competing and furthering his legacy as a professional player over streaming, but will try to strike a fine balance.
