MTG Arena Championship 4 standings, Draft and Historic Constructed

Organized play showcases WOE Draft and Historic format.

The first Magic: The Gathering Arena Championship of the 2023-2024 season featured 32 players from around the globe competing through Wilds of Eldraine Draft and Historic Constructed.

Players competed over the course of two days, Oct. 7 to 8, with the top two earning a direct invite to the 2023-2024 Magic World Championship. Arena Championships take place around every four months, with players qualifying through Play-In and Qualifier Weekend tournaments.

Draft, which was just featured at MTG Worlds, starts off day one but isn’t featured during day two. Both days of the Arena Championship showcase gameplay through Historic Constructed. 

Oct. 7, Arena Championship 4 standings

A total of three rounds of Wilds of Eldraine took place first at the Arena Championship, followed by three more rounds of Historic Constructed. Going 3-0 during the WOE Draft rounds were Taylor Cobb, Michal Guldan, Alex Satltzman, and Shinya Saito.

The only player to go undefeated in both WOE Draft and Historic Constructed was Saito, piloting Izzet Wizards during the Historic rounds. Guldan finished in second, piloting Mono-Green Devotion, and Brian Heine locked up third during day one of the Arena Championship with a Samwise Gangee combo deck.


All scores and standings at the MTG Arena Championship will be updated following Draft and Constructed rounds.

Oct. 8 Arena Championship 4 standings

The final day of the Arena Championship began with three rounds of Historic Constructed, determining the top eight. After nine rounds played, the top eight advanced to the Quarterfinals.

Saito, Wosner, and Heine automatically advanced to the quarterfinals as the top three. Joining them were Cobb, Meier, Vieren, Guldan, and Nasri.

  • Marcus Wosner: Golgari Yawgmoth

  • Brian Heine: Samwise-Gamgee Combo
  • Bassel Nasri: Dimir Control

Saito and Guildan advanced to the semifinals with a clean sweep. Wosner and Nasri also advanced.

Nasri swept Wosner with the Dimir Control deck over Golgari Yawgmoth and Saito defeated Guldan 2-1. In the finals, Saito piloted Izzet Wizards against Nasri, was on Dimir Control. Saito won 2-1, earning the Arena Championship Four title.
