Apex Legends is still an extremely young game—but that hasn’t stopped fans of the new battle royale title from digging into the lore and history of the characters.
Most notably, developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed that two of the game’s Legends are LGBTQ.

Bloodhound is one of the game’s Legends, whose “identity is a mystery wrapped in layers of rumors,” according to the character’s biography. Bloodhound is apparently “fabulously wealthy, a bloodthirsty murderer, a Goliath whisperer, a former slave, half bat, and a dozen other things depending on who’s doing the whispering.”
In addition to the information in that biography, though, Respawn community manager Jay Frechette told Rock, Paper, Shotgun that Bloodhound is “non-binary, or at least non-specified, in terms of gender.”

Fans of Apex Legends have also learned that another Legend, Gibraltar, is gay. Gibraltar’s biography reveals that he “only began to understand the value of protecting others when he and his boyfriend stole his father’s motorcycle, took it on a joyride, and got trapped by a deadly mudslide.”
Other developers have also recently revealed the sexuality of some characters in popular games—so it’s not too surprising to learn about the backstories of the Legends in Apex Legends.
