Someone beautifully recreated Melee’s opening using Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Melee Movie HD, anyone?

YouTuber SSBMTemple must really love the Super Smash Bros. series.

The YouTuber has painstakingly recreated Super Smash Bros. Melee’s famous opening movie with scenes, trailers, and characters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate—while adding his own flair, too.

Don’t take our word for it, though. Check it out for yourself.

For comparison, see Melee’s opening video down below or play both at the same time and try to spot the differences between each one.

Although SSBMTemple’s creation isn’t an exact shot-by-shot remake in certain areas, the video still pays homage to Melee’s famous opening cinematic, while adding some new shots to incorporate the vast array of characters available in Ultimate.

Certain fighters also appear at the exact time in which they show up during the Melee opening, but not all the time. It’s still a joy to behold, though, and the video really shows what the Smash Bros. community is capable of as long as they have the hours and resources to invest into such a project.
