Can you use WASD to move in Diablo 4?

This isn't your average PC game.

With Diablo 4 available on PC, an important question is whether it offers WASD movement for those who use a keyboard and mouse.

Diablo 4 focuses on building a unique gaming experience through atmosphere, storytelling, and various loot systems. But the most iconic part of the game is its isometric perspective, making it more similar to games like League of Legends and Dota 2 rather than traditional MMORPG games like World of Warcraft.

As you’re packing your bags and getting ready for your adventures in The Sanctuary before you finally face Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, here’s the answer to one of the most frequently asked questions—can you use WASD to move in Diablo 4?

Can you move using WASD in Diablo 4?

Short answer: yes, soon. When Diablo 4 launched in June 2023, it didn’t feature WASD movement, meaning PC players had to move their characters using mouse clicks. Blizzard is finally rectifying this with the launch of season three, Season of the Construct, on Jan. 23, bringing it in line with other isometric action RPGs.

If you’re not a fan of keyboard and mouse controls, the PC version of Diablo 4 offers controller support. This applies to all official PlayStation and Xbox pads, even the Xbox adaptive controller if you have limited mobility.

Your class abilities will still be bound to keys from one to four, and you can adjust them if you go to Options, Controls, and then Key Bindings. You can change almost everything there, from Skill Slot binds to Evade to mounting up.
