One of Brazil’s most star-studded rosters Counter-Strike: Global Offensive rosters appears to back on track after being dropped from two organizations in as many months.
The former 100 Thieves roster, which was dropped from the North American organization on Jan. 31 after experiencing both roster and visa issues, will compete in the ongoing season of the ESEA Mountain Dew League.
The team, which consists primarily of the 2017 Immortals roster that took second place at the PGL Kraków Major on Jul. 23, has also locked in João “felps” Vasconcellos as its permanent fifth man in the league.
Prior to being removed from 100 Thieves, the team featured controversial player Vito “kNg” Giuseppe. But only one month after joining the organization, kNg was sacked from the team for another Twitter outburst. While the rest of the team announced its free agency shortly afterwards, kNg was not considered for the new iteration of the Brazilian roster, and is now aiming to solely compete within Brazil.
The addition of felps to the roster also adds fuel to ongoing rumors regarding which organization the team is likely to sign with, as felps is still contracted with SK Gaming. The German organization’s current roster is reportedly planning to sign with Immortals, with the former 100 Thieves roster being lined up to replace them.
If the rumors end up being true, the Brazilian CS:GO scene will more than likely once again become a force to be reckoned with internationally.
