Red Reserve and OpTic Gaming finish pool play undefeated at the 2018 CWL Anaheim Open

The first day of the 2018 Call of Duty World League Anaheim Open was filled with a lot of intense matches—and Saturday followed suit.

Pool play action just came to an end in Anaheim, and the open bracket teams had a slight impact on the final standings.

Here are the final pool play standings at the 2018 CWL Anaheim Open (each team’s series record is followed by their map count in parentheses).

Pool A

1) Red Reserve: 4-0 (12-3)

2) FaZe Clan: 3-1 (10-7)

4) Ghost Gaming: 1-3 (5-10)

1) Rise Nation: 3-1 (9-4)

Red Reserve and OpTic Gaming both carried over their hot starts from Friday into today’s action. The European juggernauts swept Ghost Gaming to improve to 4-0 in Pool A, while the Green Wall earned a hard-fought 3-1 win over Conquest Esports to remain undefeated in Pool D.

Rise Nation got some help from Enigma6 to secure the top seed in Pool B, and UNILAD edged out Echo Fox and Mindfreak in the three-way tie for first in Pool C.

The championship winners bracket is now set, and there will be a ton of great matches later tonight. Red Reserve vs. Echo Fox and OpTic vs. Luminosity will take place in the top half of the bracket, while the other side consists of UNILAD vs. FaZe Clan and Rise vs. Splyce.

CWL Anaheim isn’t over for today, however—the championship winners bracket kicks off with Rise taking on Splyce right now.
