Nintendo has a special presentation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate planned for tomorrow at 11am CT that will reveal more details on the game’s next DLC character.
Fans expect that this presentation will show off the moveset and features of the Dragon Quest Hero and conclude with the game’s director, Masahiro Sakurai, revealing when players will be able to get their hands on the character. But Nintendo U.K. may have already leaked when that might be.
In a follow-up tweet to the announcement, Nintendo U.K. told fans that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 4.0.0 will be released on July 31. When the previous DLC character Joker was released months ago, Version 3.0.0 launched with him.
As such, we assume that Nintendo U.K. just dropped the ball ahead of schedule by revealing this information. The Dragon Quest Hero will likely be released at the same time as Version 4.0.0.
Any replays that you have on your Switch for Smash Bros. Ultimate won’t be compatible with the game after this patch, so be sure to save them quickly before the update comes out. We should learn more about the Dragon Quest Hero tomorrow at 11am CT.
