All Black and White Island item locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Jafar traps you on a strange Black and White Island when you try to confront him in the throne room in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To get off this island and stop him, you have to find some hidden Black and White items around it.

Although Mickey Mouse tells you to search around for items you can use, he doesn’t tell you what they are or where they’re located, which makes this quest a decently tricky one to work through. It’s a lot easier once you know what you’re looking for, however, so here are the locations of all the items you need to find on the Black and White Island in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find all Black and White Island items in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are three items you need to find on the Black and White Island, plus a key that’s required to access the last one. Here are all of the items on the Black and White Island during The Now and Then quest and where to find them.

• Rapunzel’s Lantern
• Mickey’s Hot Dog Roaster
• Chest key
• Gaston’s Ship

Rapunzel’s Lantern location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Rapunzel’s Lantern is trapped under a rock right by the spot where you spawned on the Black and White Island. Equip your Royal Pickaxe and break the rock to free it so you can pick it up.

Mickey’s Hot Dog Roaster location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can find Mickey’s Hot Dog Roaster in the ground behind a massive rock up on the hill by Mickey Mouse. The path to this item is blocked, so use your Royal Pickaxe to break the big rock and walk forward until you see a piece of this cart sticking up out of the ground.

Switch to your Royal Shovel to dig up Mickey’s Hot Dog Roaster. This is the same item you previously used to cook Hot Dogs for Mickey.

Black and White Island chest key location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Before you can claim the last item, which is Gaston’s Ship, you need to fish a chest key out of the ocean surrounding the island. To get the chest key, walk around the beach and stop at every ripple spot you see. Fish in each one using your Royal Fishing Rod until you end up catching the chest key.

Gaston’s Ship location in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Gaston’s Ship is the trickiest item to find because it’s trapped inside a locked chest in a well-hidden cave. This cave is on the main island floor but the chest is blocked by a rock that can sometimes conceal the entire cave if you don’t look close enough at your surroundings.

The cave is close to the ramp you can walk up to find Mickey Mouse. Once you spot it, use your Royal Pickaxe to break the rock blocking your path. Head inside the cave and insert the chest key to pick up Gaston’s Ship.

Once you have all three items, you can finally confront Jafar and stop him once and for all. This also means you’re one step closer to officially unlocking Jafar as a valley villager so you can finally pester him by calling him “bestie” all the time.
