Which LoL champion says, ‘My flames burn only the unworthy’?

I'd rather not be unworthy, thank you.

Today’s LoLdle is certainly a hot one, with the six-word clue quite the challenge for anyone unfamiliar with the League of Legends champions who wield righteous flames. If you fall into this category and don’t know who might have said the tricky Aug. 14 LoLdle quote, don’t worry—I’ve solved the answer below.

Who says, “My flames burn only the unworthy” in LoL?

The LoLdle quote on Wednesday, Aug. 14 is, My flames burn only the unworthy. The League champion who says this line is Kayle.

After yesterday’s abysmal LoLdle attempt, I was hoping for a stronger run today. Thankfully, as soon as I read this quote I knew it wouldn’t get that bad—there’s only a few fiery champs, like Brand, Annie, Milio, and Kayle.

Even better, out of those fiery champs, only Kayle has a super righteous point of view. I popped that in, and I was right on the money with that guess today.

Kayle says this voice line while moving, but what’s unique about it is she only says it if she’s level 16 or above. If you’ve played Kayle on the Rift lately (which might not be too many people considering her 2.9 percent pick rate) you’ll know hearing this voice line is nearly impossible unless you’ve scaled up really well. This is because Kayle is one of those lategame League champions who needs time to hit her stride.

Kayle was one of my favorite champs to play in ARAMs, especially when her attack speed builds were super popuar. With that build, you could auto-attack and be an absolute menace, particularly with the scaled attack speed and range bonus from her passive, Divine Ascent. It was obnoxious and fun, and I miss the good ol’ days.

Today’s LoLdle quote might have been quite challenging for anyone who doesn’t know Kayle or her abilities, but I’m just glad my League knowledge kicked in. Yesterday’s 10-plus guesses were rough, so I needed this first-time winner.
