Up and over you go.

Completing your weekly quests is one of the most efficient ways to quickly claim XP and unlock bonus battle pass rewards in Fortnite. Some of these tasks can be tricky, though, as is the case with the mantle or hurdle in different named locations quest.

The mantle and hurdle gameplay mechanics are ones you likely use all the time but don’t realize you’re doing. This means you may need to know how to mantle or hurdle in different named locations in Fortnite.

To mantle or hurdle in different named locations in Fortnite, you either need to climb up and over six different spots or launch yourself over six obstacles at named locations. Mantling and hurdling are fairly similar, which can make distinguishing them tricky, but both essentially involve getting up and over obstacles in your way.

  • To mantle in Fortnite, you need to jump at a wall. This action is essentially pulling yourself up and is generally done by walls.
  • To hurdle in Fortnite, you need to jump by an obstacle that reaches about waist height. This action is essentially performing a low jump over whatever is in your way. Fences are the most common obstacle to hurdle over.

Regardless of whether you want to mantle or hurdle, the easiest way to complete this task is to head toward an obstacle and jump right as you get near it. You can only mantle once at each location for this task and the same goes for hurdling, which means you can technically get this task done at just three named locations if you can find a way to mantle and hurdle at each one.

All of the named locations you can visit for this quest are major POIs marked by name on the map. This includes all of the following locations.

  • Redline Rig
  • Brutal Beachhead
  • Nitrodrome
  • Sandy Steppes
  • The Underworld
  • Grim Gate
  • Rebel’s Roost
  • Lavish Lair
  • Classy Courts
  • Reckless Railways
  • Grand Glacier
  • Mount Olympus
  • Brawler’s Battleground
  • Restored Reels
  • Shipwreck Shallows

Once you finish this quest, you can move on to tackling other tricky tasks. If you’re working on the Pirates of the Caribbean event, some tasks worth completing for Cursed Gold and Jack’s Ship Glider are destroying Slurp, Slap, or Nitro Barrels and destroying the nine false pieces of eight on the island.
