Best Riven build in LoL Swarm

A broken blade never hit so hard.

Among the several different champions that you can choose in League of Legends‘ Swarm, Riven could be one of the most fun options at your disposal—but only if she is given the right tools to succeed.

Riven is one of the original members of the Anima Squad, an elite group of champions whose sole goal is to protect the final bastion of humanity from the incoming Primordian threat. She is, however, jumping into the action alongside a whole new group of additions as they fight against massive bosses and unlimited waves of enemies.

For those who wish to return to the glorious battlefield, here is the best Riven build in Leagues Swarm game mode.

Since Riven has plenty of movement at her disposal with her Bunny Hop and Valor dash, she thrives on a build with movement speed and damage to avoid getting surrounded while still dealing some punishment to enemies around her. She is great at distracting since she can escape from many types of situations while her team regroups, but she can also be a formidable threat when her squad needs some durability and damage.

Best weapons for Riven’s Survivor build in Swarm

You will need to secure some good items that scale with movement speed, damage, or critical strike chance if you want Riven to be nearly as effective on the battlefield when navigating around the endless waves of Primordians coming to destroy your team. Here are four of the best options to take when building out Riven:

  • Paw Print Prisoner
  • Battle Bunny Crossbow
  • Blade-o-Rang
  • The Annihilator

Paw Print Prisoner and Blade-o-Rang are both evolved by increasing your movement speed, which is great since the former leaves damaging poison clouds in your wake while the latter launches damaging blades that eventually return back to you. They are great tools to thin out the horde while you hop from place to place.

The Annihilator and Battle Bunny Crossbow, on the other hand, are perfect damage items that also help clear the way while you jump through a crowd, especially if you find yourself unable to break through massive groups. Eventually, you’ll upgrade these items to their fully evolved state, making you an untouchable machine.

Best upgrade prioritization for Riven’s Survivor build in Swarm

Since Riven simply wants to go fast, your priorities when upgrading your passives will be pretty straight-forward. Focus on movement speed first, before dealing with any other options that will help you hit the enemy harder. Here are the main upgrades you’ll need to secure for Riven as she becomes more and more efficient as your journey continues:

  • Movement speed
  • Critical strike chance
  • Damage
  • Health regeneration
  • Armor
  • Haste

Although movement speed is the most important upgrade for Riven, you can choose between damage and critical strike chance for your second-best upgrade. For example, you might want to prioritize damage if you are building for a slightly adjusted build with other items that scale with that passive.
