Turner “Tfue” Tenney just got stream sniped to the next level. Not only was there a player in his Fortnite match watching him playing Arena live, but that player was also streaming on Twitch and talking to a friend who was in the same match that Tfue was.
Tfue exposed the alleged stream sniper, Moldee, on his livestream yesterday through a clip from that player’s channel. “Stream sniping is one thing, but the teaming is just a wack,” Tfue said. The clip shows the sniper in a match telling his friend that Tfue “is live without stream mode on.”

Fans got more evidence that Moldee was watching Tfue’s stream while playing with the intent of hunting him down to eliminate him. One video shows him rushing and taking down a player inside a structure who turned out to be Tfue, but he seems surprised. A second video shows Moldee clearly saying “I almost killed him. I know it, I saw it on his stream.” As Moldee continues watching Tfue playing that match, he says “I want to stream snipe him.”
Stream sniping gives the player who’s watching a livestream an unfair competitive advantage over their opponent. That’s why it’s a reportable offense that falls into “game sabotage” and can get a player’s Fortnite account suspended and banned if there’s enough evidence.
Other Fortnite streamers have also accused players of stream sniping in the past. Tyler “Ninja” Blevins accused a player of doing so during one of his matches a few months ago, and he asked Epic to ban the alleged sniper. The player turned out to be innocent and was never banned, and Ninja received blowback from the community for his incorrect report. Streamers like Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, who play other games, have reported legit stream snipers and succeeded in getting them banned.
Tfue’s case is strong. With evidence that Moldee wanted to stream snipe him, as well as Tfue’s ultimate elimination, it’s likely that either Epic or Twitch will consider it enough to suspend the stream sniper for a few days.
