Astralis is the undisputed best Counter-Strike team in the world. Their dominance knows no bounds, and you can bet that they’ll be able to take down any team on any map. Nuke, however, is a stomping ground that no other team will want to challenge Astralis on. At season nine of the ESL Pro League, the Danish powerhouse extended their Nuke winning streak to an amazing 30 games.
With a dominant victory over ex-3DMAX in the group stage of the EPL, Astralis has tied the record for most wins on Nuke. The past record holder was actually Ninjas in Pyjamas, back when they were the best team in CS:GO in 2013. That map win streak was also during NiP’s incredible 87 win streak on LAN, where it dominated the Global Offensive scene until its first loss against Virtus.Pro.
This, however, is only the beginning of Astralis and their quest for more records. The Danes also have an impressive 18-game winning streak on the map Inferno. The last time the team lost on Inferno was back in 2018 at the season six finals of the Esports Championship Series, where they lost a tightly contested match against MIBR.
Granted, Astralis’ map pool is incredibly deep—the team boasts at least a 60 percent win percent or above on Dust2, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, and Train. Many top teams have Inferno in their comfort rotation, so for Astralis to be so dominant is quite imposing on the rest of the pack.
Now, Astralis looks to sweep over the rest of Group D at the EPL as they aim to take their second ESL Pro League championship in a row. Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and company will have to get through some stiff competition to do so, but this definitely isn’t their first rodeo.
