How to make a Four Star Sandwich in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk

The looks don't matter, it is all in the spread.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk has several tasks that can only be completed when playing with friends, which can entirely throw off your Blueberry Quest (BBQ) grind if you don’t know how to do something simple like making a four-star sandwich.

While Game Freak makes crafting a sandwich seem like an art form, it is actually a messy endeavor that you can easily cheese if you know exactly what ingredients you need. There are a few different ways to keep from failing one of the most frequent BBQs that pop up while roaming the Terarium with other players, but one sandwich strategy can clear that quest instantly

How to easily make a four-star sandwich for BBQ quests in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk

While playing online using the Union Circle in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk, clearing blue and red Blueberry Quests (BBQs) will eventually give your party a chance to complete a gold BBQ, which is typically a quest that involves doing something together in the overworld. One of the most common gold options is crafting a four-star sandwich with friends at a picnic.

You only need two players to complete this BBQ, so once you have at least two players ready to make a sandwich at the table, be very careful when picking your ingredients. Each player helping with the sandwich needs to bring at least one topping, like eggs or meat to put on the bread, but the real key is in the condiments—specifically the Herba Mystica

To get a guaranteed four-star sandwich you need to have all five different kinds of Herba Mystica on your sandwich. That means you need Sweet, Salty, Spicy, Sour, and Bitter Herba Mystica to be present when you begin. You can only bring a max of four Herba Mystica at a time to any recipe, so communicate clearly to ensure you have all five unique named ingredients selected between your group before you begin cooking.

Tip: Double check your ingredients before submitting!

Before you confirm what items you are going to be putting on the sandwich, talk with the other players in your Union Circle to ensure all five Herba Mystica are present between everyone cooking. This will keep you from wasting any Herba Mystica if someone accidentally misclicks.

Is it worth using your Herba Mystica to make a four-star sandwich for a BBQ?

Herba Mystica is an item you typically only get by completing Tera Raids, making it a grindable resource rather than something you can just stumble upon easily. If you don’t plan to use those items elsewhere, however, you do get 500 BP for clearing that BBQ, and it also helps you with a quest involving Legendary Pokémon encounters back in Paldea, so for most players, it is worth the trade.
