How to beat Stormcaller boss in MW3 Zombies

There's a storm brewing.

The Stormcaller boss can cause players big problems in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. In addition to regular Zombies that ramp up in difficulty the further you get inland, Operation Deadbolt is also filled with a handful of optional sub-bosses.

Stormcaller is no slouch and gives many unsuspecting MW3 players a hard time, so if you need help, look no further. This quick guide will show you where to find it, how to beat it, and what you get for being victorious.

Where is the Stormcaller boss in MW3 Zombies?

You can find the Stormcaller in an Aether Storm, as highlighted by the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies mapCheck the images above to see how the Aether Storm looks in-game, and follow the steps below to find the Stormcaller boss:

  1. After spawning in the match, locate the purple biological hazard “Aether Storm.”
  2. Visit the location quickly and eliminate all the zombies nearby to recharge the Field Upgrade.
  3. You’ll incur radiation damage inside the Aether Storm, so it’s best to find multiple gas masks before entering.
  4. If the Aether Storm is in the low-threat zone, use a level one Pack-A-Punch weapon to clear out all the enemies.
  5. The Stormcaller is a flying enemy similar to the Disciple but much more powerful.
  6. This boss can leech life from operators and zombies to regenerate its health.

How to beat Stormcaller in MW3 Zombies

The Stormcaller boss is ridiculously tanky and can withstand a lot of damage. This boss regenerates health over time, so your task is to position properly, stay persistent, and be precise with every shot. Having multiple players on your team simultaneously deliver a barrage of punishment on the boss using powerful weapons is a decent strategy.

I usually play solo in MW3 Zombies, and hunting extraordinary creatures allows me to quickly farm tons of good loot. You can follow a few tricks to eliminate the Stormcaller without any assistance. For instance, I like to lure the Stormcaller enemy towards the edge of the Aether Circle. This way, you can stay outside the storm damage and still shoot at the boss from a safe distance.

Additionally, you can use Killstreaks like Sentry GunsMortar StrikesCluster MinesJuggernauts, and Precision Air Strikes to deal massive damage to the boss. Using a Sentry Gun is ideal as it costs around 2,000 Essence and helps you crowd-control the zombies easily. Luring the Stormcaller boss to the edge of the Aether circle is extremely effective, but be careful, as the zombies protecting the creature will also chase you. Set up Proximity Mines, C4s, and similar equipment along the designated path to outsmart the zombies chasing behind your operator.

Tip:

The Stormcaller empowers all the zombies within its vicinity at all times. This means that the zombies are much quicker now since they can sprint.

Another tactic involves using the Blood Burner motorcycle you’ll find while exploring the map. I came across this vehicle in the medium-threat zone and recommended players take advantage of its Aether Pulse mechanic. While fighting more brutal bosses like the Stormcaller, you can use this bike’s Aether Pulse ability to deal massive damage to enemies. For example, I drove up to Stormcaller and used the Aether Pulse ability once to take out the boss smoothly. To recharge the Aether Pulse, drive around running over zombies.

Ideally, leveling up a regular weapon with Aether Tools and Pack-A-Punch upgrades would be effective against strong bosses like the Stormcaller. Similarly, if you find a Wonder Weapon, get Pack-A-Punch upgrades before visiting the boss. Three-plate armor vests and self-revives are two items that are not mandatory for this boss fight, but having them allows you to withstand more damage and get back up quickly.

Tip:

For solo players, lure the boss near the edge of the Aether Storm or use the Blood Burner motorcycle to eliminate the Stormcaller boss. Purchase Killstreaks, lethal equipment, armor plates, and other items to stay restocked while fighting hordes of zombies.

Stormcaller boss rewards in MW3 Zombies

On the plus side, if you can take down a Stormcaller boss, you should rub your hands together with glee, as you could be rewarded with a Wonder Weapon, Schematic, Essence, XP, and more. It’s all RNG, of course, but the possibility of getting one of the game’s many Wonder Weapons is a big temptation, as is a desirable Schematic.

There you have it. You now know everything you need to defeat the Stormcaller boss in MW3 Zombies. Good luck!
