Suika Game, a.k.a. Watermelon Game, came out less than a week ago on Nintendo Switch, and it is already getting its first update. With the update that went live on Oct. 23. 2023, players can now play the game in English while the game gets a spooky makeover for Halloween.
The big change in this patch is that players can change the game’s text to English with the new update. With the game becoming hugely popular with English-speaking players and content creators, it’s no surprise that Aladdin X has added the option to change the in-game text from Japanese. The game still launches in Japanese but can be easily switched to English from the main menu.
The other feature is the new Halloween theme. With the theme turned on, players can enjoy a darker background, fruits with mean and scary looks on their faces, and a catchy new theme. In the spirit of Halloween, players are now working towards creating and merging a Halloween pumpkin instead of Watermelons.
Additionally, from Oct. 28 to Nov. 3, there will also be a Halloween event. Players who rank first on the leaderboards at the end of each day will receive a wonderful present, as tweeted by the game developer Aladin X. We have no idea what the present might be, but we’ll keep our ear to the ground and let you know.
