World of Warcraft The War Within is the next major expansion for the legendary MMO, pushing the previous Dragonflight content into the rear-view mirror. We’ve got all the latest on The War Within‘s release date and start time.

Thanks to The War Within, WoW expansions are heading into double digits—featuring the usual abundance of new PvE content, fresh abilities, and an increased level cap. It advances the story and takes us to a new region called Khaz Algar, with an expansive underground area to explore.

Dragonflight was a great addition, but we’re now looking ahead to The War Within, so read on to find out when you can finally get your hands on the much-anticipated expansion.

World of Warcraft The War Within releases on Aug. 26, 2024, at 3pm PT / 5pm CT / 11pm BST (or Aug. 27 at 8am AEST).

If you want to play WoW’s The War Within expansion even sooner, early access is available. WoW The War Within early access starts as soon as Aug. 22—so get on it!

We expect early access to go live at the same time as the main release (unless we hear otherwise), so it should be 3pm PT / 5pm CT / 11pm BST (or Aug. 23 at 8am AEST). Check out the countdown below to see how long you must wait before getting early access.
