There’s one specific item you must find in The First Descendant, and it might take a good amount of time before you can purchase it.

When your Descendant reaches level 40, they have the prestige option of resetting their level back down to one. You can do this with the Crystallization Catalyst, a unique weapon you can research by speaking with Anais. You can find them on the east side of Albion in the hub city. After speaking with them, select the Crystallization Catalyst and have them construct one for you, but only if you have the required materials to create it.

Here’s everything you need to grab and present to Anais to begin crafting a Crystallization Catalyst.

After you have them all and give them to Anais, it takes seven and a half hours before you can attempt to obtain them. However, you can always provide Anais with Caliber to get it done faster rather than waiting for it.

Once you have the item, head to the Descendant Module menu in your character sheet underneath your weapons. From there, navigate to the right and select the Module Additional Settings option.

From here, select the Module Socket Type you want to place into the Skill Module slots, and after you confirm the selection, your character returns to level one, and you begin the process over again. Now, the Module Slot that matches the selected module costs twice as much, allowing you to optimize your preferred build. You want to do this every chance you get for the modules that match your Descendant’s preferred build, picking the modules you regularly use. The fewer points you use for this section allow you to use more expensive and powerful options.

When your Descendant returns to level one, begin the process over again and expect to grab another Crystallization Catalyst when you hit level 40 for the second time in The First Descendant.
