How to get and use Boosters in The First Descendant

Make the grind less grindy.

The First Descendant is all about grinding for better gear and better Descendants. This involves leveling up and farming for a lot of items and currency. To make the grind more bearable, you can use Boosters to speed up this process.

Here’s everything you need to know about Boosters in The First Descendant.

Boosters are limited account-wide perks in The First Descendant that increase your overall Gold, XP, Weapon Proficiency, and Kupier Shard Gain. Boosters are not necessary and only give you a 30 percent increased gain. Boosters can last anywhere from one to 30 days.

Boosters can stack, so you can use several at once and enjoy the benefits even longer.

There are a couple of ways to get Boosters in The First Descendant.

  • Buy them with real money
  • Claim them from the Premium Battle pass
  • Get them as rewards via mail

Buying Boosters is very self-explanatory. Simply open the shop, pick which Boosters you want, and make sure you have enough Caliber. If you aren’t sure which Boosters you need, the game has bundles that give you all of them for a reduced price (lower than buying them all individually).

If you have the Premium battle pass, you can sometimes get Boosters for leveling up. These usually last for only one day, and you don’t have to claim them immediately after you unlock them.

Finally, if you claim Twitch Drops, Prime Gaming rewards, or even use promotional codes, you can actually get some Boosters for free. In fact, as of writing this, The First Descendant is giving away two compensation packs with all four types of Boosters. It’s safe to assume that the devs will give out more rewards if the game has any other issues down the road.

Boosters automatically activate on your account after you claim them. You need to select and claim them manually when you buy or receive Boosters in your mailbox or the store mailbox.

This means you don’t have to use your Boosters for a while even after you receive them (very useful if you aren’t planning to play The First Descendant for a few days). But be careful because Boosters have an expiration day, especially those you receive for free.
