‘I love it’: Dr Disrespect explains why he’s happy he wasn’t allowed to preview Modern Warfare 2 at NFL Draft

The Two-Time doesn't mind.

During the 2022 NFL Draft in Las Vegas, a few fans and influencers were given the opportunity to preview early footage of Modern Warfare 2. Popular YouTube streamer and longtime Call of Duty fan Dr Disrespect was not among those allowed to attend the event, however.

It came as a surprise to fans when Dr Disrespect revealed he wasn’t invited to the preview event for Modern Warfare 2, considering the streamer has been broadcasting Call of Duty games to thousands of viewers for years and was also brought aboard as a level designer for Advanced Warfare back in 2012. During a stream on May 10, Doc explained why he wasn’t invited.

In a clip posted by the ModernWarzone Twitter account, Dr Disrespect said that while he did attend the NFL Draft in Las Vegas, he wasn’t invited to the preview because of Midnight Society, the streamer’s video game studio. Instead of being disappointed or upset that he wouldn’t get to view early footage of Modern Warfare 2, the Doc believes respect was a key factor in why he didn’t receive an invitation.

“It didn’t upset me, I totally got it, champs,” Dr Disrespect said. “Think about that position, champs, I love it; Midnight Society considered a competitor. I respect it. I liked it, actually.”

Despite Midnight Society supposedly earning the respect of Activision Blizzard, it’s unclear whether Doc’s studio can regain the respect of some fans who expressed outrage at it adding NFTs to its inaugural video game.
