Two new cosmetic crates are being added to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds this week—and the outfits that come inside them are right out of a time machine.
The first crate, “FEVER,” is “inspired by the fashion of the 70s and 80s,” and they are spectacular. The items include a checkered skirt, a denim jacket, funky glasses, bright orange pants, and even an ascot.
The second crate is called “MILITIA” and features a more grounded, military style as it comes with the Erangel Resistance Force outfit and the Miramar Frontiersman outfit. That white cowboy hat and red jacket are probably going to be hot commodities.
As with the gamescom Invitational crate, players can get extremely lucky and unlock the entire “FEVER” set when opening a crate. The odds to do so are not in your favor, however.
This marks the second time PUBG has added cosmetics since the beginning of 2018, as early January saw the inclusion of the “Biker” and “Desperado” sets. As with all PUBG cosmetic sets, they will likely fetch an extremely high price on Steam’s marketplace due to their rarity.
The crates are available today on the test server but are scheduled to be officially released tomorrow, Feb. 22.
