It’s been more than a year since the Overwatch League was announced, but the tournament series’ preseason exhibition matches are about to begin.
Eleven out of 12 teams in the upcoming Overwatch League will participate in the preseason matches, as Philadelphia Fusion has dropped out of the preseason matches citing “player logistics issues.” Three matches are scheduled each night for the week of Dec. 6, beginning with Florida Mayhem against the San Francisco Shock.

There’s a lot of anticipation ahead of the matches, with Overwatch’s best players spread among the worldwide league. Here’s how you can watch.
Dec. 6
The first matches of the Overwatch League preseason begin on Dec. 6 at 7pm ET with Florida Mayhem vs. San Francisco Shock (originally Philadelphia Fusion). Los Angeles Valiant vs. San Francisco Shock follows at 9pm ET, then Seoul Dynasty vs. Shanghai Dragons at 11pm ET.
Dec. 7
Los Angeles Gladiators vs. London Spitfire begin the matches on Dec. 7 at 5pm ET, followed by Dallas Fuel vs. Houston Outlaws at 7pm ET. The New York and Boston rivalry ends the night with New York Excelsior and Boston Uprising at 9pm ET.
Dec. 8
Matches on Dec. 8 start at 7pm ET with the San Francisco Shock against the London Spitfire. At 9pm ET, Seoul Dynasty will play the Houston Outlaws. At 11pm ET, Shanghai Dragons take on Boston Uprising.
Dec. 9
Matches on Dec. 9 start at 2pm ET with the Los Angeles Valiant against the Los Angeles Gladiators. Florida Mayhem vs. Dallas Fuel begins at 4pm ET, with Seoul Dynasty vs. New York Excelsior closing out the Overwatch League preseason at 6pm ET.
All Overwatch League preseason matches will be held at the Blizzard Arena Los Angeles. Those who can’t attend the live event will be able to watch live on the Overwatch League website.
The Overwatch League regular season will begin Jan. 10 with San Francisco Shock vs. Los Angeles Valiant.
