Warwick Champion Update

This complete overhaul for the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun has been on the PBE now for just over a week, and has seen numerous changes throughout the cycle. The new look for Warwick has played a huge part in his change, accompanied by all of the changes to his abilities and stats. Warwick’s new look is fitting, similar to that of other characters originiating from Zaun (Ekko, for example).

Stats and Abilities

Here’s a detailed look at Warwick’s stats:

  • Base Damage: 58
  • Damage Growth: 3
  • Base Armor: 24.04

  • Attack Delay Percent: -0.02
  • AttackSpeed Per Level: 2.3

Now for a look at his abilities:

Passive- Eternal Hunger

Warwick’s basic attacks deal [8 + 2 per level] bonus magic damage. If Warwick is below 50% health, he heals the same amount. If Warwick is below 25% health, this healing triples.

Q- Jaws of the Beast

  • 50/60/70/80/90 Mana
  • 6 sec Cooldown

Warwick lunges forward and bites his target. While the key is held down, he will attach to the target, then leap behind them.

On release, deals [120% AD]+[90% AP] plus 6/7/8/9/10% of your target’s maximum health as magic damage (applies On Hit effects). Heal 30/40/50/60/70% of damage dealt.

While attached, Warwick is connected to the target and follows any movement they make.

W- Blood Hunt

  • 70 Mana
  • 120/105/90/75/60 sec Cooldown

Passive: Warwick gains 50/65/80/95/110% attack speed against enemies below 50% health. He also sensed low health champions globally, moving 35/40/45/50/55% faster toward them when out of combat. These bonuses are tripled against enemies below 20% health.

Active: Warwick briefly senses all enemies. The nearest sensed champion is Blood Hunted for eight seconds. Cast only while not in combat with a champion.

While no enemies are being hunted, Blood Hunt cools down twice as fast.

E- Primal Howl

  • 40 Mana
  • 15/14/13/12/11 sec Cooldown

Warwick gains 35/40/45/50/55% damage reduction for 2.5 seconds. At the end of the duration, or if activated again, Warwick howls, causing all nearby enemies to flee for one second.

R- Infinite Duress

  • 100 Mana
  • 110/90/70 sec Cooldown

Warwick leaps 2.5 seconds worth of movement speed in a direction, suppressing the first champion he collides with for 1.5 seconds. Deals 175/350/525 (+ 167.5 bonus AD) magic damage and applies on-hit effects three times. Warwick heals for 100% of all damage he deals during Infinite Duress.

Voice Update

While Warwick has had many visual changes, he has also received an updated voiceover. This includes a wide range of interactions with different characters, some involved in his lore. In addition to this, Warwick received 14 non-English voiceovers.

Warwick’s Lore

While Warwick was known to be an experiment gone wrong, his new in-client lore reads as follow: “Warwick is a monster who hunts the gray alleys of Zaun. Transformed by agonizing experiments, his body is fused with an intricate system of chambers and pumps, machinery filling his veins with alchemical rage. Bursting out of the shadows, he preys upon those criminals who terrorize the city’s depths. Warwick is drawn to blood, and driven mad by its scent. None who spill it can escape him.”

Skin/Splash Updates and Login Screen

As a part of his rework, all of Warwick’s skins and splash arts have been updated to fit his rework, as well as the visuals in-game. Since this rework is quite in depth and is almost a complete overhaul for Warwick, there is a log-in theme that will accompany his release.

Practice Tool

The first form of the Practice Tool feature went live on the PBE, and it gives you complete control over Summoner’s Rift. The tool allows you to play in a game by yourself and practice in any way you wish. Whether it be testing character builds, or just general farming practice, the practice tool gives the player complete control of what is happening. Features include: increasing level, spawning minions, spawn allied and enemy dummies for target practice, and even resetting the game. The practice tool looks set to help players practice on their own and create their own scenarios to improve their in-game skills.
