Some form of a cooperative game mode built around exterminating the living dead has been confirmed for Call of Duty: WWII.

The next installment in the Call of Duty franchise was just revealed earlier today, and fans were given the opportunity to ask the developers questions about the game live on stream.

While the world reveal was mainly focused on the game’s campaign, the developers were able to showcase some of the other features in WWII, including an extremely brief look at the zombies mode.

In fact, it wasn’t even a look at the mode itself—just a picture of a scarred zombie wearing a World War II era helmet.

Activision did release an official description of the game itself, which included confirmation that the mode will be called Nazi Zombies.

“The definitive World War II next generation experience also introduces Nazi Zombies, an all-new cooperative mode featuring a unique standalone storyline set during World War II that’s full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping action,” the description reads.

Nazi Zombies was first introduced to the Call of Duty franchise in 2008 when Treyarch released Call of Duty: World at War. This was the first zombies experience in the Call of Duty franchise, but now, Sledgehammer Games, the developers of WWII, are bringing back the Nazi Zombies name and mode.

Although nothing specific is known about Nazi Zombies at this time, fans of the franchise are mainly focusing on the simple positive: There’s going to be a cooperative zombies mode in the next Call of Duty game when it’s released on Nov. 3.
