Earlier today, Afreeca Freecs announced that their top laner, Jeon “ikssu” Ik-soo, and jungler, Nam “LirA” Tae-yoo, have both left the team.
LirA and ikssu both plan to look for a new team, either in Korea or overseas, to play for in the 2017 spring season. In this announcement, the Afreeca Freecs organization expressed their gratitude to ikssu and LirA, who have been with the team since its conception in the challenger scene.
Following a fifth place finish in the 2016 summer split of the LCK, Afreeca Freecs will be looking to improve their roster in any way possible in order to help them contend with the likes of SK Telecom TI and Samsung Galaxy.Â
The announcement posted on FOMOS can be read here.
