Today it was announced that Team EnVyUs has agreed to terms with Renegades to take Renegades’ spot in the North American League Championship Series, according to sources close to both organizations.

This comes after Renegades was forced to sell their LCS spot for the Summer Split after Riot Games banned the organization Chris “Doombang” Badawi because the team allegedly voluntarily violating Doombang’s competitive ban. Renegades was also accused of “misrepresenting a relationship with Team Dragon Knights and compromising player welfare and safety,” according to Riot.

The deal is allegedly worth more than $1 million and is pending approval by Riot.

This signals EnVyUs’ first foray into League of Legends. Since receiving a monetary investment from SierraMaya360, a venture capital firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can read more about this investment here.

EnVyUs currently owns teams in Call of Duty, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Gears of War, Halo, Overwatch, Smite and it also picked up Starcraft 2 player Choi "Polt" Seong Hun.
