Miso on trial with Curse

Team Curse have been looking into viable replacements for a mid laner since the shock announcement of star player Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani’s departure. Now, sources close to the team tell the Daily Dot former Jin Air Green Wings Falcons player Kim “Miso” Jae-hun is currently on trial with the team. Kim played top lane for the Korean team during OGN Summer 2013, OGN Winter 2013, and OGN Spring 2014.

Kim has been living in the U.S. since leaving the Falcons and becoming part of the TDK Challenger team, where he played under the name “Trickster.” Kim is currently in the highest tier of the game, Challenger, playing under the name “asfzxcasd.”

Kim is currently at the Curse house and is taking part in trials to see his suitability for the team. The trial could impact the future of Curse Academy player Lae-Young “Keane” Jang.

“Keane had been hoping that when Voyboy left maybe he’d be considered for the mid-lane role in the main team” a source told us.

“However, if Miso impresses there’s no doubt he will be added to their roster. If Miso sucks Keane will get his chance and be moved up into the main team after the expansion tournament.

“It could be the end of Keane’s involvement with Curse if he doesn’t get that opportunity and LMQ are on stand-by to make him an offer if he does part ways with the organization.”

Another source added that Team Curse must be confident in Kim’s suitability as he was still under contract with TDK when they made their enquiries. The organization reportedly paid a buy-out to bring him into these trials at the team house, which shows a significant commitment on their part—especially as the source said “it was no small number.”
