After finishing in ninth place in its first split in the LEC, Excel Esports is apparently looking to bolster its team with changes to its roster and staff.

Excel has begun searching for a new team manager ahead of the Summer Split, according to a tweet from the organization. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of the League of Legends scene at a “national and international level,” and must be able to live and work in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Excel Esports had a pretty disappointing showing for its first split in the LEC, to say the least. Sporting a 5-13 record, the team didn’t seem to have enough talent to keep up with the teams higher up the standings.

As a result, Excel began making some major changes to its roster on May 8, when the team acquired veteran ADC Petter “Hjarnan” Freyschusson. He will be joining fellow LEC veteran Raymond “kaSing” Tsang in the bottom lane. Excel also added David “DLim” Lim as the team’s coach for the Summer Split. DLim was the coach for FC Schalke 04 last split.

Excel has made some good additions to their organization, but it still has plenty of work to do before people start to consider it a top-tier organization in the league.
