Best Jinx build in League of Legends

Get ready to carry with one of League’s most iconic champions.

Along with being in the popular Netflix series Arcane, Jinx is one of the most popular AD carries in League of Legends today. Her kit is everything it says on the tin: Chaos.

In the late game, Jinx is a monster, firing her rockets in all directions as she lays waste to her opponents on summoners rift. Jinx is a jack of all trades as a champion who scales incredibly well but can also have a lot of impact in the early game.

You must know how to build her properly to get the most out of Jinx. This article will point you in the right direction toward being an unkillable demon on Jinx. Here are the best builds for Jinx in League.

Runes

Precision

Fleet Footwork: During the laning phase, Jinx needs to move quickly while auto-attacking in her minigun form. This is one of the reasons why Fleet Footwork gets the nod in her rune page tree. The energized passive heals you while also granting a short burst of movement speed for a short duration. While Press the Attack is another solid option, this rune helps you during the laning phase, providing additional healing also.

Presence of Mind: Especially during the early game, Jinx uses a lot of mana. Her abilities burn through mana like there is no tomorrow, so Presence of Mind is an excellent choice in the Precision rune tree. Presence of Mind increases mana regeneration when you damage an enemy champion. With Jinx’s rockets having an area of effect damage, it won’t be a problem for Jinx to proc this rune. Jinx also resets her passive every time she gets a kill or an assist, which means Jinx greatly benefits from Presence of Mind, which grants 15 percent total mana after a takedown.

Legend: Bloodline: With this build, you are not really going to have any lifesteal items outside of potentially a Bloodthirster. This rune will help Jinx out with her healing, granting 0.35 percent life steal for every Legend stack. You can gain these stacks through minion, monster, epic monster, and champion takedowns.

Coup de Grace: Jinx benefits from low-health champions, especially for her ultimate, which obliterates any low-health bars. Coup de Grace allows you to deal eight percent more damage to champions that are below 40 percent health.

Sorcery

Absolute Focus: Sorcery is the second rune page that is normally run on Jinx in the most recent patches,  with Absolute Focus still being a main option. This is a rune that is used the most on Jinx during patch 14.13, and we can see why. Absolute Focus grants you adaptive damage when above 70 percent health. With ADC’s you will be entering into fights with full health anyway, so why not go into the fight with more attack damage or ability power?

Gathering Storm: Whether you are low elo or high elo, the games in League are going to go the distance. This is why Gathering Storm is such a good run to select on Jinx. Every ten minutes, you will be granted extra attack damage. As mentioned, this rune makes sense on ADC’s if you run the Sorcery tree. Games are often thrown, drawn out, and sometimes difficult to close, so why not have a large amount of attack damage added to your late-game arsenal?

Bonuses: +10 percent attack speed, +9 adaptive force, +10-180 health

Starting Items

Doran’s Blade: With Jinx, you just want to ensure you can farm safely in the early game until your first item comes online. And while Cull could be an option, the safest bet is to go for Doran’s Blade. It provides 80 health, attack damage, and Omnivamp. There isn’t much to say about Doran’s Blade; It is the most commonly used starting item for ADCs in League.

Core items

Kraken Slayer: Since its introduction to League, Kraken Slayer has become one of the most popular starting items, especially for Jinx. And while The Collector is starting to make its way into the opening slot for many champions, Jinx is sticking with a fantastic item for her. Jinx’s rockets rely on attack damage and speed to start seeing her become an effective champion. Kraken Slayer provides 40 percent attack speed, +50 attack damage, and seven percent movement speed. Every third attack applies physical on-hit damage. This increases when the same target is hit repeatedly.

Berserker’s Greaves: There isn’t much to say about the Berserker’s Greaves for Jinx. Not many bottom laners will opt for a different item in the boots department. You want to get Berserker’s Greaves for the added attack speed. If you get an early kill, you can rush this item to really make the laning phase go a lot smoother for Jinx.

Phantom Dancer: In the early game, Kraken Slayer and your runes are everything you need in terms of attack damage, which is why Phantom Dancer is a solid choice for a second item on Jinx. By this point, you want to start building up your Critical Strike chance, which PD provides 25 percent. On top of that, Phantom Dancer gives 60 percent attack speed along with additional movement speed.

Late-game items

Infinity Edge: Now that we are moving into the late game, with a lot of attack speed built up, you want to focus on dealing as much damage as possible in the mid-to-late game. Infinity Edge is a classic item in League of Legends. When you need tons of damage, ADCs’ will go to IE for the solution. Infinity Edge grants you 80 attack damage, 40 percent critical strike damage, and a further 25 percent critical strike chance.

Lord Dominik’s Regards: This is a very good item against tanks that stack armor while increasing your critical strike chance with an extra 25 percent. LDR grants armor penetration, which means you will not struggle to kill tanks who are on the front line.

Guardian Angel: Although this item could technically fall into the situational items category if you are getting to sixth item territory, chances are the game has gone the distance; therefore, a Guardian Angel is an excellent option for Jinx. Although you will not need more attack damage in the late game, this is what GA provides, along with armor and the passive, which sees you revive after death.

Situational items

Bloodthirster: You can never go wrong with a little bit of life steal, which is what the Bloodthirster provides. If you struggle to stay alive during fights after being poked out, this item will help you keep in the fight while also providing a lot of attack damage. On top of that, the passive grants you a maximum health shield if you are at full health.

Rapid Firecannon: Rapid Firecannon used to be a main item on Jinx, but it has recently fallen into the optional category, with much better items on the market. The passive of RFC links with Fleet Footwork while granting excessively more range, meaning you can pump out damage with your rockets from a safe distance.
