Earlier this week, Team Acer revealed that European LCS team Supa Hot Crew were likely moving to Meet Your Makers. Now sources close to the team have revealed that it is actively trialling new players for a fresh roster ahead of the next LCS season.

First on the way out looks to be jungler and team captain Matt “Impaler” Taylor. Speculation had been rife for some time about his departure amid rumours that some teammates no longer wanted to play alongside him. His exit seemed to be confirmed when two days ago he tweeted “I M P A L E R L F T”—the last three letters being a common esports abbreviation for “looking for team.”

When we asked Taylor about his status, he declined to provide a statement, though he did say that his removal from the roster “wasn’t official” and “still might not happen.”

Currently playing in his place is 16-year-old Amin “Amin” Mezher, who had a brief stint as a substitute for Supa Hot Crew before going on to be part of Ninjas In Pyjamas and is now a free agent. Though currently underage for an LCS team, Mezher will turn 17 in December, which would take him above the age-restriction threshold.

Jungle doesn’t seem to be the only area where the team are looking to make changes. Raymond “kaSing” Tsang, the support player who joined the team in June, also finds himself in limbo as new players tryout for his position. The front-runner seems to be Alfonso “mithy” Aguirre Rodriguez, who was also part of Ninjas In Pyjamas. Rodriguez has been serving a suspension until the end of the year preventing him from playing in any LCS or Challenger teams. But he would be eligible for a return at the start of next year.

Right now, everything points to both these players having impressed their new prospective teammates. But nothing has been finalized yet, and these positions could still change.
