A Chinese Hearthstone player called Mr. Ai has been awarded 3,000 card packs for winning the Hearthstone Quest for Packs contest. To qualify, Hearthstone players had to complete their daily quests to earn one entrance per day from Feb. 1 to 14. Mr. Ai has been rewarded for his daily Hearthstone habit with 3,000 card packs—1,000 each from Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, and Kobolds & Catacombs. He also received a whole bunch of Hearthstone merch, including the Lich King’s Helm. Oh, and while on a trip to Shanghai, Blizzard gave him $1,200 in cash. Blizzard followed Mr. Ai during his Shanghai Hearthstone adventures, where he even got to open his 3,000 card packs with a few popular streamers. Mr. Ai may have won the big prize, but he isn’t the only one that walks away with something. One thousand players were awarded the Mammoth Card Bundle, which contained 10 packs from each Year of the Mammoth expansion. Fifty thousand players were granted the Mammoth Pack, which included one card pack from each expansion. That’s a whole lot of Hearthstone cards.
