Deathstalker Rexxar’s Hero Power will include some beasts from the new expansion at some point

Only some of the new beasts will be available.

Last week, several Hearthstone players noticed that cards from the game’s newest expansion, Kobolds and Catacombs, weren’t working with a particular Hero Power. Now, Blizzard has provided an update on the situation.

Deathstalker Rexxar, one of the Death Knights introduced in Knights of the Frozen Throne, has a Hero Power called Build-A-Beast, which allows you to craft a custom Zombeast at the cost of two mana. But this Hero Power wasn’t using any of the beasts introduced in Kobolds and Catacombs.

Blizzard has since revealed that new beasts from Kobolds and Catacombs will be included in Deathstalker Rexxar’s Hero Power moving forward. But, the developer hasn’t released a date for when this change will go into effect.

“Please be patient, as this is a fairly complicated endeavor and we may need to start with a smaller change before a more permanent solution is implemented,” Blizzard said. “We don’t have a date for this change to share with you today, but we will provide more information once we have it.”

Blizzard also noted that some beasts will remain exempt from Deathstalker Rexxar’s Hero Power for “various reasons,” using King of Beasts as an example.

Now that Blizzard has addressed the situation, Hearthstone players will have to patiently wait for this change to be implemented into the game.
