On Feb. 10, the first trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2 was revealed. It’s a sequel to a renowned mystery-drama adventure game, developed by Telltale Games in 2013 and 2014.
Since then, the game has made a name for itself as one of the best titles when it comes to how players’ decisions influence their own gameplay. In The Wolf Among Us, players come across numerous interactions, and the dialogue options have a huge impact on the story.
The game has been critically acclaimed (it has an 80 Metascore on Metacritic) and has gained somewhat of a cult following. Fans have long been waiting for a sequel, which was firstly announced in 2017. Telltale Games, however, had to cancel it due to financial reasons. But the studio made an announcement in 2019 that the sequel will, in fact, be released somewhere in the future.
Now, with the premiere of the new trailer, a couple of new pieces of information have been released to the public. The Wolf Among Us 2 is set to follow the events of the first entry into the franchise. Players will once again control Bigby. “The Wolf Among Us 2 picks up six months after the events of season one. It’s winter in New York City and a new case threatens to cross the line between Fabletown and the NYPD. How you choose to approach it could determine the future of the Fable community,” says the description on Telltale’s site.
Players will re-enter the world created by the developers in the near future. The game is scheduled to release in 2023, but a specific launch date has still yet to be revaled.
