Team EnVyUs has doubled the size of its StarCraft roster, welcoming Choi “Polt” Seong Hun into the fold.
The organization announced yesterday that it has signed a multi-year contract with Polt, who won the 2016 Winter WCS Championship in March. He has also had podium finishes at major tournaments like the Red Bull Battlegrounds.
“Polt is the kind of player any organization would be extremely proud of signing,” said Mike “Hastro” Rufail, EnVyUs’ managing director. Hastro believes that EnVyUs’ “tradition of podium finishes” will continue by signing Polt.
Andrew Tomlinson, Polt’s manager, stated that he is “one of the most driven and disciplined persons I have met in my life,” and expressed his excitement about the move to EnVyUs.
Polt is EnVyUs’ second entry into the StarCraft scene, signing Kim “viOLet” Dong Hwan in February. Since joining, viOLet achieved a semifinals position at the 2016 DreamHack Open in Leipzig.
Polt signed on because he believes that “the organization’s goals are in line with my own,” and he wanted to keep playing StarCraft for years to come.
“I want all my fans to know that I have never been more dedicated to StarCraft, and my drive to win will remain the same as it has for years.”
