How do you best emulate your favorite Street Fighter character while in Korea? Go on television and beat the hell out of a car.

Dressed up as Street Fighter mainstay Ryu, this guy took to the airwaves in Korea and delivered a hellacious beating to an unsuspecting motor vehicle, all while those gathered in attendance looked on with a mix of shock and wonderment.

Our Ryu cosplayer isn’t quite as quick on the demolition as the character he’s emulating, but the producers of the show did at least manage to emulate the accompanying music to help better establish the proper atmosphere.

You can compare the recreation to the real thing below.

The real-world Ryu doesn’t manage any flying dropkicks on the car doors, but that’s likely more a failing of the video game than this crazy television segment.

Our hero does seem to gas out around the point at which he is tearing off the post-dropkick door by hand, but we can hardly blame him. Beating up a car looks like hard work, and this is no game.
