European side Team Roccat joined that growing trend this morning, according to a report from OnGamers, moving mid-laner Remigiusz “Overpow” Pusch top the top lane to replace Marcin “Xaxus” Maczka.

Maczka and Pusch were members of the challenger squad Kiedyś Miałem Team that stormed into the 2014 Spring Split of the League Championship Series, challenging established front-runners and earning sponsorship from gaming peripheral maker Roccat. That success faded in the Summer Split, however, landing the hopefuls in sixth place at the end of the regular season.

Despite a run of playoff success, culminating in a fourth place finish to Worlds qualifier SK Gaming, Roccat chose to release Maczka and marksman Paweł “Celaver” Koprianiuk. Current rumblings suggest that Paweł “Woolite” Pruski, who played for Copenhagen Wolves in the Summer Split, will replace Koprianiuk for the 2015 season.

With Alliance in talks with Martin “Rekkles” Larsson the European title looks loftier than ever for 2015. Whatever changes Roccat announces in the next several weeks will need to be strong if the Polish squad are to return to the summit they once called home.
