PlayStation leaks LEGO Horizon Adventures release date ahead of schedule

Where's the blog, Guerrilla?

The release date for LEGO Horizon Adventures seems to have been unceremoniously leaked by Sony itself today, with the information appearing on the PlayStation website’s homepage without any sort of accompanying blog or showcase as the usual announcement goes.

The large banner on the PlayStation homepage mentions LEGO Horizon Adventures will be launching on Nov. 14 on PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. This lines up with the officially announced holiday 2024 release window. First spotted by Reddit user u/foreveryoung1108 and then corroborated by news site Gematsu, Sony’s accidental leak may have something to do with today’s Nintendo Direct.

While the banner in question has since been pulled from the website, the internet doesn’t forget. However, with the mention of Nintendo Switch—which is a rare occurrence on the PlayStation website—it seems more and more likely that we’ll get an official announcement from the Nintendo Partner Direct in some hours.

Initially revealed in Summer Game Fest in June earlier this year, LEGO Horizon Adventures will put you in the shoes of the series’ protagonist Aloy. In this LEGO-shaped adventure from Guerrilla and Studio Gobo, Aloy will be leading a colorful crew of heroes on a quest to “save the meadows, forests, and mountains of Earth from a man called Helis, who leads a gang of sun worshippers that follow an Ancient Evil shrouded in mystery.”

It’s not exactly expected to play out exactly like the Horizon: Zero Dawn story, but many of the game’s loved characters will likely be making an appearance. According to the official description, LEGO Horizon Adventures can be played as a traditional single-player game, or with friends via couch co-op or online play.

The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and Indie World kick off on Aug. 27 at 9 am CT.
