If you want to kill an opponent in Apex Legends with a bit of style, then Respawn Entertainment might have created the perfect feature for you.

This feature, known as “finishers,” allows you to perform a special takedown on a downed enemy by performing a slick animation. Each character has its own unique finisher animations based on their abilities and characteristics.

You can also unlock additional finishers through loot boxes or by crafting them with 1,200 metal. Each character has a default finisher, however, so you won’t need to pay to unlock the feature.

To use the finisher, all you need to do is walk up to a downed enemy and you should see a prompt appear telling you what button you need to press. This should be the Square button on PS4, X button on Xbox One, and E button on PC.

Hitting it will start your trademark finisher which will end the enemy’s chances of ever being picked up again. Just be sure to do it in a safe location when you aren’t under enemy fire, as it will leave you open to being attacked.
