GeoGuessr World Cup 2024 – Schedule, players, results, and more

Fitting for a game built to test your knowledge of the world, players from across the globe are meeting on a grand stage for the 2024 Geoguessr World Cup. Held in Stockholm, Sweden, a collection of talented players will battle it out, with a $50,000 prize pool at stake.

After hosting its inaugural season in 2023, the creators of Geoguessr are back from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Saturday, Sept. 14, as 24 players fight for global supremacy on a virtual scale. There are four groups to kick off the tournament and plenty of action is in store as people find their way from Tokyo to Toronto and everywhere in between.

For those who aren’t just playing the League of Legends and Elden Ring spinoff, here is all the information you’ll need about the 2024 Geoguessr World Cup, including the schedule, players, and results.

GeoGuessr World Cup 2024 players and format

The 24 players attending the 2024 Geoguessr World Cup are split into four groups and put into best-of-three matches. Each player will compete in five matches, and the winner of each group will advance to the playoffs. The second and third-place players, however, will be sent to the Knockout Stage.

In the Knockout Stage, players will be seeded into four single, best-of-five matches, with each winner heading to the playoffs. In the playoffs, the remaining players will battle through a best-of-five, single-elimination bracket for the championship. All participants earned their place at the event through their regional finals or wild card event.
