After a week of delays and postponements due to other competitions, ESEA Premier is almost entirely back on schedule, with some teams playing four matches over the past seven days.
The map of the week was Dust II, the recently removed map from the active duty group. As the change was sudden and unexpected, the league decided to keep Dust II as the map this week, and then replace it with Inferno after each team had played their matches.
As usual, the Australian region kicked off the week with their matches. Tainted Minds did not have to play, as they played their first four matches at the beginning of the week, going 2-0 on Dust II. During the week, SSU Esports’ roster was acquired by Trident Esports, a very large organization in Australia.

The Australian player of the week is 16-year-old Isaac “Ayrez” Ayre of Trident Esports. In last week’s matches, Ayrez finished 30-41 kills and deaths, but he improved drastically in the second week. He tallied up a monster 35-kill performance against The Trash Pandas, finishing with an unheard of 159.2 ADR. In the second game, he cooled off a bit, but still led the lobby in kills with a 27-17 performance against Athletico Academy. His incredible week two performance landed him near the top in frags, multi-kill rounds, ADR and FPR, while also securing the first win of the young season for Trident.
Due to the IEM Katowice qualifiers and the iGame tournament, only four games were played last week. This put a heavy load on the EU teams’ plates as they had to catch up to the other regions by playing three or four matches this week. In roster-related news, Verneri “bona” Junkala joined Findictus, playing in place of Sami “sanid” Hagman in their match against Fnatic Academy. Christopher “kicker” Lindén joined Dreamchasers, playing for Markus “maak” Karlsen. Vexed Gaming added Sophién “thyx” Felakaoui to their roster as a stand-in following some shuffling.

The player of the week for the European region in week two is former Fnatic and current GODSENT star Jocke “disco doplan” Gidetun. Along with Simon “twist” Eliasson, disco doplan was traded from Fnatic to their current team just a week and a half ago. Since then, disco has done an incredible job playing as a part of GODSENT, tearing it up in the stat sheet while also helping his team finish undefeated in their first few games. Through three matches, disco doplan is first in the league in ADR, FPR and RWS.
The American division’s schedule was much lighter than the European’s, with almost every team playing at least one match in the first week. That made it easier for the teams to quickly schedule games and complete them in week two. Some changes were made to teams this week, as VeloX Esports’ roster became free agents, changing the team name to “Looking For Organization,” while they search for a company to house them. Former Ambition Gamers’ roster is looking for a new organization as well and has been renamed to “Ben’s Anime Team.” Insomnia Esports additionally announced that they had parted ways with their CS:GO roster. GAMURS has reached out to Insomnia for a statement.

The American player of the week for ESEA Premier is Mitch “mitch” Semago. This is the second straight week an eUnited player has received the player of the week, but it is well deserved. In his matches this week, mitch finished 24-8 and 24-6 in the respective games against Ajax and Insomnia. His performances helped his team cruise to two easy victories and to the top spot of the American division. With his efficient performances, he topped NA in several statistical categories, including ADR and FPR, and 1v2 clutches.
