ELEAGUE set to host $250,000 Street Fighter V Invitational

ELEAGUE is expanding into fighting games.

ELEAGUE is expanding into fighting games with the announcement of the Street Fighter V Invitational, which will feature 32 of the world’s best Street Fighter® players competing live from the G Fuel ELEAGUE Arena in Atlanta, Georgia beginning Monday, March 27.

The event will begin with preliminary rounds held from March 27-30 in Atlanta, with live coverage available via Twitch. The ELEAGUE Street Fighter V Invitational playoffs will be then begin on Friday, May 26.

The 32 professional Street Fighter V players will consist of the top 16 competitors based on the 2016 Capcom Pro Tour. An additional 16 players will be selected based on special invitations from Capcom.

The 24 players that advance from the preliminary rounds will take part in the regular season. Six players will compete each week, and live competitions will be held Friday, April 7, Friday, April 21, Friday, May 5 and Friday, May 12.
