To be considered one of the best fighting game players in theworld is truly an honor. Daigo, better know as “TheBeast” has won two Evolution World Championships (EVO) inStreet Fighter IV. The well-known Street Fighter player has alsotaken first place in other titles, such as Guilty Gear XX and SuperStreet Fighter II Turbo.
With Daigo having such an impressive resume, it was only amatter of time until he joined a company that features such anoutstanding fighting gaming roster as Redbull eSports. Today,during his episode DaigoTheBeasTV, took place in Red Bull’sJapan Studio, “The Beast” announced his newsponsor.
Fans who didn’t catch the stream received the news via Twitter. He joins a roster of other StreetFighter players such as, Masato “Bonchan” Takahashi and Darryl”Snake Eyez” Lewis, who had his own mini-series on Red Bull eSportscalled “Cultivation: House of Snake Eyez.” Even thoughDaigo will now play under the Red Bull banner, he is stillsponsored by MadCatz.
Daigo has been seen playing in tournaments such as Red BullKumite where he took ninth place. In Red Bull Kumite, Daigo had tobattle an old MadCatz teammate, Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi, a matchhe lost 2-1. “The Beast” has also taken secondplace in the Capcom’s Cups finals in Street Fighter IV.
Daigo’s will be representing Red Bull next weekend in atournament called, Stunfest which will be held in Rennes, France.Stunfest will beDaigo’s first event for Capcom Pro Tour event of the 2016season.
