Blizzard’s annual mega-festival, BlizzCon, is roaring, and we all know what that means: new stuff! The company kicked off the conference with some updates for Heroes of the Storm which include new champions, a new map called Towers of Doom, and a completely new mode called the Arena.

On the champion front, players will soon be able to play as Greymane, the Worgen (werewolf) leader from the World of Warcraft franchise. His ability to turn from human to wolfman should make for some interesting abilities in the game. Joining him will be Lunara, a druid with high mobility. But most interesting seems to be the two-headed ogre Cho’Gall, which allows two players to control the hero together.

Dustin Browder, the game’s director, also revealed an interesting new game mode that simplifies the game’s format. The Arena, as its called, will be a more casual format with more flexible rules, which allows players to quickly jump into a game and fight over a single objective. One example game mode: Allowing all 10 players to play as a single champion.

Browder said he’d never seen a development team become so attached to a game mode before—and he’s excited to see feedback from BlizzCon attendees.
